Seeking Second Life Designers!!!

Veekay Navarathna and Medley Estates proudly announce Sensations 2010 and invite emerging SL fashion designers

 to showcase their work in a fun and unique way, as well as compete for more than L$75,000 in cash prizes.

The purpose of Sensations 2010 is to celebrate the joy, and true nature of individual expression through the creation of fashion. Second Life’s brightest new designers will participate in challenges throughout the competition to test their design ability and creative instinct. For each challenge, competitors will design a fashion ensemble that represents a predetermined weekly theme. There will be three different themes, one for each week of the competition, giving individual contestants the opportunity to shine to their fullest extent.

The competition will take place at our sim, Shekhawati: Land of Merchants and Warriors, a region in Rajasthan, India famous for its fresco paintings on the walls of its mansions, palaces and forts. Shekhawati’s mystique and beauty attracts many SL visitors and it is a lovely backdrop for Sensations 2010. This event will be the third annual Sensations and promises to be our most exciting yet. 

Kickoff for this event begins January 8th and the deadline for contestants applications is Dec. 30th. See the contestant's kit for more details.
